T‘ien Erhlung was born in March, 1964 in the province of Hopei (Hebei), China. He is educated at University level. 

  • From 2005 – Counsellor, the Department of European-Central Asian Affairs, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of the People‘s Republic of China (PRC);
  • 2004-2005 – Vice-Governor of the city of Ma‘anshan of the province of Anhuei of the PRC;
  • 2003-2004 – Counsellor, the Department of European-Central Asian Affairs, the MFA of the PRC;
  • 2000-2003 – Counsellor, the Embassy of the PRC in the Russian Federation;
  • 1998-2000 – Second Secretary, First Secretary, the Embassy of the PRC in the Russian Federation;
  • 1996-1998 – Second Secretary, Deputy Director, the Department of European-Central Asian Affairs of the MFA of the PRC;
  • 1993-1996 – Third Secretary, Second Secretary, the Embassy of the PRC in the Russian Federation;
  • 1989-1993 – Attaché, Third Secretary, the Department of European-Central Asian Affairs (the Department of the USSR and Eastern Europe Affairs) of the MFA of the PRC.

He is married, with son.
