The Consul General
Marie-Johane Roccas

Born in Kalima (Republic of Kongo), on October 24, 1956. In 1980 obtained Degree in Law from ULB, Free University of Brussels. In 1981 completed the 2-year program in one with Higher Degree in European law. In 1981 received Scholarship in Common Law, London.
In July 1985 started to work for Central administration of the Ministry of Foreign Affaires in Belgium. In 1987 took the post of Attaché at the Permanent representation to the United Nations in Geneva (Belgian Presidency - GATT) for a year and returned to the Central administration of the Ministry of Foreign Affaires. In 1988 -1990 took the post of Attaché at the Permanent representation to the United Nations in Geneva. From 1990 to 1995 -Spokesperson at the King's Cabinet. From 1995 to 1999 was Minister Counsellor in Madrid and after nominated as Economic Counsellor at the Royal Palace. From 2003 served as an Ambassador to the Republic of Croatia and Consul general in Bosnia-Herzegovina.
From April 2008-to present time Consul General of the Kingdom of Belgium in Saint-Petersburg.
